Sharing the Role and Vision of the Labor Union
Strengthening Unity and Solidarity Among Members
On the 10th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the inauguration ceremony for the 8th Changwon Special City Public Officials Labor Union at the City Hall Citizen Hall.
At the inauguration ceremony, over 250 people attended, including Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo, Changwon Special City Council Vice Chairman Kwon Sunghyun, Public Officials Labor Union Federation Chairman Kim Hyunjin, and Korean Federation of Trade Unions Gyeongnam Regional Headquarters Chairman Jeong Jinyong, to celebrate the meaningful launch of the new labor union.
This inauguration ceremony was organized to share the role and vision of the newly launched labor union and to strengthen unity and solidarity among its members. At the following delegates' meeting, the new executive team was introduced, along with presentations on the union's management direction and key future projects.
In particular, the 8th labor union has set the improvement of working conditions and welfare of its members as its top priority and plans to promote practical policies that can bring about tangible changes through active communication between labor and management.
Chairman Son Minbae stated, "As we launch based on the trust and expectations of our members, we will work with even greater responsibility to protect their rights and enhance their welfare," adding, "We will always listen to our members' voices and work together to create a better future for the public service sector."
Changwon Special City Mayor Hong Nam-pyo said, "The public officials labor union is an important partner for the development of Changwon City and innovation in the public sector," and added, "If labor and management communicate and cooperate together, we can create a healthier and more vibrant public service culture."
