Police Track Distribution Route
A man in his 40s was arrested by the police on charges of habitual methamphetamine use.
Gwangju Bukbu Police Station announced on the 11th that they had detained a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of habitual drug use in violation of the Narcotics Control Act.
On the 8th, Mr. A was arrested at his home in Duam-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju, after injecting methamphetamine and possessing 0.1g of the drug. Acting on intelligence regarding suspected drug use, the police raided his residence and secured evidence.
According to the investigation, Mr. A had purchased 0.5g of methamphetamine via Telegram. A field drug test also returned a positive result. Mr. A, who has a prior record for similar offenses, was detained due to concerns of reoffending. The police plan to track the distribution route of the drugs.
