Gangseo-gu Provides Automated External Defibrillator Location Information on 'Safety and Convenience Thematic Map'

Real Estate Land Information and Locations of Transportation Convenience Facilities

Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jin Gyo-hoon) has newly improved the map service ‘Gangseo-gu Themed Map’ for the safety and convenience of its residents.

The Gangseo-gu Themed Map mainly provides life-oriented information such as public parking lots, children’s parks, and libraries, but through this renovation, locations of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), smart green rest areas, and real estate land information have been incorporated into the ‘Themed Map Service Platform.’

Accordingly, accurate location information of 676 Automated External Defibrillators installed in the district (15 outdoors, 661 indoors) is provided to secure the golden time to save precious lives. If emergency treatment is performed with an AED within 4 minutes of cardiac arrest, the survival rate can increase by more than 80%. Knowing the location in advance enables prompt treatment.

Locations of transportation convenience facilities are also provided. Users can identify the locations of smart green rest areas (8 sites) equipped with heating and cooling facilities, Wi-Fi, and mobile phone charging, as well as warm-sharing rest areas (59 sites) and heated chairs (175 units).

Real estate land information that allows comprehensive information of the relevant parcel to be viewed with a single search has also been established. Detailed information from the land register such as official land price, land category, and area can be easily accessed for 44,118 parcels in the district. This information can be accessed by visiting the district website (Administrative Information - Gangseo-gu Themed Map) and is also available through the ‘Gangseo-gu Themed Map’ app.

Meanwhile, the ‘Gangseo-gu Themed Map’ is a map service that allows users to check public facility information in areas such as safety, welfare, and culture at a glance. It enables easy thematic searches for information that is difficult to find on general maps, such as local emergency evacuation facilities, emergency fire extinguishing facilities, heatwave shelters, shuttle buses for the elderly, and public restrooms.
