Korea Expressway Corporation discussed cooperation plans for road and transportation infrastructure projects with Kampong Thom Province in Cambodia.
On the 7th, Korea Expressway Corporation met with Nuon Pharat, the governor of Kampong Thom Province, at the ex-Smart Center in Pangyo to explore the possibility of participating in future projects.
Korea Expressway Corporation is discussing cooperation plans for road and transportation infrastructure projects with Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia, and taking a commemorative photo.
Cambodia is currently promoting large-scale transportation infrastructure projects such as the Phnom Penh-Siem Reap-Poipet Expressway (400km, $4.2 billion) and the Phnom Penh-Bavet Expressway (135km, $1.4 billion). Through these discussions, Korea Expressway Corporation is actively negotiating ways to participate in these projects.
Since 2005, Korea Expressway Corporation has maintained a cooperative relationship with Cambodia and has successfully completed 20 projects worth a total of $11 million.
In particular, Korea Expressway Corporation, which has accumulated experience and capabilities in various fields such as road design, construction, operation, and maintenance, is expected to play an important role in the expansion of Cambodia's transportation infrastructure.
Ham Jingyu, President of Korea Expressway Corporation, said, "We have maintained a friendly relationship with Cambodia for a long time, and we hope that this discussion will lead to even more active exchanges."
