Uiseong County Conducts Civil Service Improvement Training for All Employees

Uiseong County in North Gyeongsang Province announced on the 10th that it conducted 'Civil Service Improvement Training' for all employees on the 6th to enhance the quality of its civil service.

This training focused on strengthening public officials' ability to respond to civil complaints and supporting faster and more accurate processing of such requests.

Uiseong County Conducts Civil Service Improvement Training for All Employees An employee of Uiseong County, Gyeongbuk, is conducting training to improve civil service.

Although the county received the lowest rating of 'Ma' in the comprehensive civil service evaluation in 2020, it achieved the highest rating of 'Ga' in 2024, marking remarkable progress in improving its civil service.

Nevertheless, over the past five years, satisfaction with civil services through the National Petition Portal has remained at an average level. Therefore, this training concentrated on specific measures to further improve civil service satisfaction.

The training covered topics such as identifying key points in civil complaint processing, strategies to enhance satisfaction on the National Petition Portal, methods for handling grievance complaints, know-how in managing civil service performance, and the use of administrative information sharing.

In particular, considering the recent placement of many new public officials and the resulting lower level of work proficiency, the training was conducted with a practical focus.

Kim Jusu, the governor of Uiseong County, stated, "The most important aspect of responding to civil complaints is not simply being polite, but accurately identifying the needs of the complainant and resolving them quickly," adding, "Through this training, we will improve public officials' understanding of their duties and provide a more systematic civil service."

Additionally, Uiseong County plans to strengthen its civil service response capabilities through continuous training and feedback, creating changes that residents can truly feel.
