Andong Agricultural Technology Center Improves Cityscape with Seasonal Flowers
Providing Attractions for Citizens and Tourists
The Andong Agricultural Technology Center in North Gyeongsang Province is distributing 190,000 spring flowers to improve the scenery of the city center and major tourist attractions as spring arrives. This project aims to create flower-lined paths throughout the city, offering citizens and visitors a vibrant spring atmosphere.
The spring flowers being distributed on the 10th include six varieties: chrysanthemum, daisy, dianthus, viola, pansy, and moss phlox. These colorful flowers are expected to decorate the city and bring new energy to the area.
The Andong Agricultural Technology Center directly cultivates seasonal flower seedlings and plants them in urban areas and tourist sites four times a year.
This year, starting with spring flowers, the center plans to supply about 500,000 flowers throughout the year, including summer (petunia, begonia, vinca), autumn (chrysanthemum, salvia), and winter (young barley).
An official from the Agricultural Technology Center stated, "By planting flowers each season, we aim to improve the city's appearance and provide a pleasant environment for citizens," adding, "We will continue to promote various landscaping projects to contribute to regional revitalization."
