Wife and Teenage Children Found Dead in Bedroom
Four members of a family were found dead in an apartment in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, prompting a police investigation.
According to the Suwon Jungbu Police Station, a man in his 40s identified as Mr. A was found dead around 11 a.m. on the 10th in an apartment complex in Jangan-gu, Suwon, Yonhap News reported.
Police, who responded to a resident's report, confirmed that Mr. A was a resident of the apartment and subsequently searched inside his home.
During the search, police discovered the bodies of Mr. A's wife, Ms. B, also in her 40s, their eldest son who was a middle school student, and their youngest daughter who was an elementary school student, in the master bedroom. The three were found collapsed inside the room. No visible external injuries were observed on the bodies, and no suicide note was found.
Based on analysis of the apartment's closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, police believe Mr. A left the house, went up to the top floor, the 25th floor of the apartment building, and jumped out of the window.
Mr. A was self-employed, and Ms. B was identified as a full-time homemaker. It was confirmed that they were not recipients of basic livelihood security benefits.
Police secured the mobile phones of Mr. A and Ms. B at the scene and plan to examine their conversation records through forensic analysis. Additionally, the bodies of the deceased will be sent to the National Forensic Service for autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
