The Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Sports Association for the Disabled (President Oh Younghun) recently celebrated its 18th anniversary by holding a commemorative event at the Agento Fiore Convention, it announced on the 10th.
The Jeju Sports Association for the Disabled is working to promote recreational sports to enhance the health and well-being of people with disabilities, under the slogan "Sports for the Disabled Together, Opening a Happy World Together." The association is also striving to raise Jeju's profile by fostering outstanding athletes and coaches.
The commemorative ceremony was attended by over 150 people, including the chairman and members of the Jeju Provincial Council, officials from affiliated organizations, coaches, and athletes, providing an opportunity for unity and celebration.
In his commemorative speech, Oh Younghun, Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, said, "I hope for the successful hosting of the 1st Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Sports Festival for the Disabled this year and the 46th National Sports Festival for the Disabled scheduled for next year." He added, "The Jeju Provincial Government and the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Sports Association for the Disabled will spare no effort to support the healthy lives of people with disabilities through sports."
