The Korea Forestry Promotion Institute announced on the 10th that it will conduct the ‘2025 1st Timber Production Industry (Sawmilling) Training’ from the 24th to the 28th of this month.
The timber production industry training is a type of mandatory education conducted to cultivate specialized knowledge related to timber that must be known when producing timber products, in accordance with the ‘Act on the Sustainable Use of Timber (Articles 24 and 31).’ The technical personnel requirements necessary for timber production industry registration can also be fulfilled by completing this training.
Applications for participation in the training will be accepted from the 10th to the 14th. The number of participants is limited to 100, and anyone engaged in the timber production industry (Sawmilling types 1, 2, 3, and 4) or wishing to acquire specialized knowledge related to timber product production and processing can participate in the training.
The training curriculum consists of ▲ Timber Industry Policy ▲ Safety Management ▲ Timber Product Quality Control ▲ Common Theories by Industry Type ▲ Practical Training at Industrial Sites, with a total training time of 35 hours. Completion of the training is recognized when participants attend at least 90% of the total training hours.
