Establishing a Cooperative System for Safety and Health
Railway Vehicle and Facility Safety, Prevention of Serious Accidents
Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) has signed a business agreement with Korea Railroad Corporation (President Han Moonhee) to enhance mutual safety culture and realize the value of safety management.

The signing ceremony was held on the 7th at the Busan-Gyeongnam Headquarters of Korea Railroad Corporation, attended by Lee Jonghun, Head of Safety and Transportation Headquarters at Busan Transportation Corporation, Yoon Jaehun, Head of Busan-Gyeongnam Headquarters at Korea Railroad Corporation, and other officials.
This agreement was planned to facilitate the exchange of railway safety management capabilities between the two organizations as social interest in accident prevention has risen due to recent major incidents. The two organizations plan to focus their cooperation on areas such as: △expanding safety culture and strengthening the realization of safety management values △cross-inspection of railway vehicles and facilities △exchange of safety management information.
Within the first half of the year, the two organizations will conduct cross-inspections of railway vehicles and facilities operated by each organization, share safety-related know-how, and cooperate to prevent serious accidents.
Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, said, "Through this agreement, we expect that our railway safety policies will be actively promoted through exchange and cooperation in the field of safety with Korea Railroad Corporation," adding, "We will do our utmost to provide urban rail services that citizens can use with peace of mind."
