Visits to Linked Tourist Attractions Such as Bugok Hot Spring Tourism Special Zone and Upo Wetland
Changnyeong County in Gyeongsangnam-do announced on the 10th that the ‘Gyeongnam Tourism Marketing Research Association,’ a research group of the Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Council, visited Changnyeong County from the 6th to the 7th to discuss ways to revitalize hot spring tourism hubs.
This visit was part of the research association’s policy study titled ‘Research on the Development of Gyeongnam Tourism through Hot Spring Revitalization.’
On the first day, the research association toured Upo Wetland and listened to a briefing on the operation of the Upo Wetland Ecological Center, seeking ways to promote ecological tourism.
On the second day, they visited Changnyeong County Office to hear explanations about the current status and revitalization projects of the Bugok Hot Spring Tourism Special Zone, and discussed strategies for public-private cooperation and promotional marketing to expand infrastructure during a roundtable meeting.
A Changnyeong County official said, “Through this roundtable, we were able to have in-depth discussions about the value and future direction of Bugok Hot Spring,” and added, “Please look forward to further development worthy of our reputation as a hot spring city.”
