Ministry of Education Opens Registration for Education Public Data Analysis and Utilization Competition

The Ministry of Education announced on the 10th that it will accept applications for the '7th Education Public Data Analysis and Utilization Competition' throughout April.

The Education Public Data Analysis and Utilization Competition has been held annually since 2019 with the purpose of discovering and analyzing creative ideas using public data in the education sector.

Participants can realize creative ideas by utilizing open data related to education, and winners in the product and service categories will be granted eligibility to participate in the '13th Pan-Government Public Data Utilization Startup Competition' hosted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.

In particular, this year, reflecting feedback from last year's participants, the total prize money has been significantly increased from 64 million KRW to 114 million KRW. Prizes such as laptops, tablets, and wireless earphones will also be provided.

The competition is divided into the student division (data analysis) and the general division (data analysis and product/service), and anyone aged 14 or older can participate. Team participation is allowed with up to 3 members.

Applications can be submitted on the competition website. After the first and second rounds of judging in May and June, a total of 64 winning entries will be selected.
