Suncheon Gastronomy Week
to Be Held for Seven Days at Suncheonman National Garden Starting on the 29th
Suncheon City, South Jeolla Province (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced on the 10th that it will host the '2025 Suncheon Gastronomy Week' under the theme 'Taste of Suncheon, Spring' for seven days from the 29th of this month to the 4th of next month, to promote Suncheon's culinary delights.
This gastronomy week will kick off with on-site events at the Suncheonman National Garden Space Hub on the 29th and 30th, followed by a variety of culinary programs such as gastronomy tours, traditional tea experiences, and gourmet stamp rallies held throughout Suncheon.
Suncheon City will operate the "2025 Suncheon Gourmet Week" for seven days from March 29 to April 4 under the theme "Taste of Suncheon, Spring" to promote Suncheon's culinary delights. Provided by Suncheon City
The weekend on-site event, set against the backdrop of the national garden in full bloom, will feature a range of activities where visitors can experience Suncheon's famous restaurants and seasonal menus.
Main programs include ▲Suncheon Gourmet Restaurant Certification Ceremony ▲Gastronomy Workshop & Food Show with Renowned Chefs ▲Spring Food Dining with Local Chefs ▲Themed Food Exhibition Hall ▲Gastronomy Market & Experience Zone with Suncheon Restaurants. A garden gastronomy picnic area will also be set up to offer a unique spring culinary experience. In addition to the on-site events, a variety of gastronomy experience programs will be available throughout Suncheon.
Gastronomy tour programs include 'Nakanpungnyu,' a romantic culinary tour where you can eat, drink, listen, and savor while enjoying the beauty of nature, and 'Traditional Market Tour with Sijang Sain,' where visitors can explore traditional markets and participate in cooking classes using seasonal ingredients. There will also be programs such as 'Garden Tea Makase,' held against the backdrop of the expansive garden.
A city official stated, "During this gastronomy week, visitors will be able to experience a unique culinary journey that combines the flowers of spring with gourmet resources from pristine nature," and added, "We hope everyone enjoys Suncheon in spring, where new life begins after the cold winter."
