Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 10th that it held the first special lecture of 2025, ‘Knowledge Lecture Thehagi,’ on the 7th at the Dasan Hall in City Hall for about 300 affiliated public officials.

The ‘Knowledge Lecture Thehagi’ special lecture was planned to provide public officials with job insights necessary for flexibly responding to changes in the policy environment and establishing the city administration’s vision and strategic goals. The city has been continuously promoting this program since 2023 to strengthen the capabilities of public officials.
The training is conducted in the form of invited lectures by experts in various fields, and this year, special lectures will continue on diverse topics such as △global tech trends △organizational communication and leadership △classics and humanities △management of slow aging.
In the first lecture, Lee Seon, a U.S. CES journalist, appeared as a speaker and gave a lecture titled ‘Analysis of Overseas Corporate Cases in AI, Mobility, and Quantum Computing Leading the Global Economy.’ The lecture provided an in-depth analysis of future industry trends and technological innovation cases that overseas big tech companies such as Tesla, Google, and Nvidia are focusing on.
In particular, based on on-site interviews conducted at global corporate events such as the U.S. CES (Consumer Electronics Show) and Germany’s IAA (International Motor Show), the lecture introduced △AI technology development and industrial application △mobility innovation △future value of quantum computing technology, delivering vivid global trends.
The head of Namyangju City’s Personnel Department said, “In this rapidly changing era of digital innovation, we hope that public officials will strengthen their insights into core technologies of future industries and actively utilize them for administrative innovation and future strategy establishment.”
Going forward, Namyangju City plans to continuously promote differentiated education and lectures with goals such as △cultivating talents leading future innovation △job training reflecting changes in the administrative environment △creating organizational culture values embodying the philosophy of Dasan (茶山).
