This year, a total of 110 electric vehicles will be supplied, including 60 electric passenger cars and 50 electric trucks, which will be supported in two phases during the first and second half of the year. The subsidy amount will be provided differentially according to the type and scale of the vehicle, with up to 10.3 million KRW per electric passenger car and up to 21.7 million KRW per electric truck. Eligibility is limited to individuals aged 18 or older, corporations, public institutions, and local public enterprises (excluding central government agencies) who have maintained their address in Wando County for at least 90 consecutive days prior to the application date.

Among the 110 vehicles supplied, priority will be given to households with multiple children (two or more), vulnerable groups (persons with disabilities, low-income groups), persons of merit and independence patriots, small business owners, those replacing old diesel vehicles, and first-time car buyers.

Additionally, taxis are eligible for an extra 2.5 million KRW from the national budget, low-income groups can receive an additional 20% subsidy from the national budget, and multi-child households can receive an extra 1 million KRW (for two children), 2 million KRW (for three children), or 3 million KRW (for four or more children), depending on the number of children. To apply for the subsidy, applicants must sign a contract for the vehicle and then submit an online application through the 'Zero-Emission Vehicle Subsidy Support System' via the manufacturer or dealer.

Wi Namhwan, head of the Environmental Water Quality Management Division, stated, "Electric vehicles are eco-friendly vehicles that do not emit carbon dioxide, exhaust fumes, or fine dust, which are major contributors to air pollution. We hope for your active interest and applications, and we will continue to strive for fine dust reduction and the realization of carbon neutrality."
