The Defense Ministry's Investigation Headquarters will launch an investigation and inquiry into the KF-16 fighter jet friendly fire incident that occurred in the Pocheon area of Gyeonggi Province.
On the 10th, the Defense Ministry announced that it will deploy personnel from the Defense Ministry's Investigation Headquarters to begin an investigation and inquiry into the Air Force fighter jet friendly fire incident.
The Defense Ministry explained, "Considering the seriousness of the various issues revealed in the interim investigation results announced today by the Air Force, we will comprehensively verify and conduct investigations and inquiries at the Defense Ministry level across all areas?from pilot mission execution, training control and management, reporting systems, and situation response processes, covering all stages from training preparation to execution and post-incident phases."
