Expansion of Regular Employment Support from 100 to 130 People
Incentives for Regular Employees in Their 40s and 50s for Six Months
Apply via Busan Employers Federation or Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry

An employment support program targeting the core middle-aged economic workforce will be carried out in Busan.

The city of Busan (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) announced that it will be recruiting companies to participate in the '2025 Busan 4050 Employment Promotion Support Program' from the 10th until March 28.

This support program, which has been promoted since last year, aims to strengthen the core economic workforce in their 40s and 50s by providing opportunities for regular employment, thereby reinforcing the backbone of Busan's economy and supporting the growth of Busan's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies linked to job creation.

The program targets manufacturing and industrial complex companies, strategic industry companies, and certified companies located in Busan. When hiring new regular employees in their 40s and 50s, participating companies will receive incentives for six months.

This year, Busan will expand the number of regular hires from 100 last year to 130. The incentive is 800,000 KRW per person per month for six months, up to a maximum of 4.8 million KRW.

Companies wishing to participate can apply from the 10th until March 28 through the website or email of the Busan Employers Federation, or via the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

After applications are received, a selection committee will be held to choose the companies to support, sign business agreements with the selected companies, and provide monthly incentives after new hires are made.

For detailed information on eligibility and other requirements, please refer to the recruitment announcement posted on the websites of the Busan Employers Federation and the Busan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Kim Bongcheol, Director of the Digital Economy Bureau of Busan, said, "We are expanding this program compared to last year to provide quality jobs and employment stability for those in their 40s and 50s, who are the backbone of Busan's economy. We look forward to active participation from Busan's small and medium-sized enterprises and mid-sized companies," adding, "We will continue to promote various policies to create jobs for people in their 40s and 50s."
