Recognized for Contributions to the Production of Rare Disease Statistics and Evidence
Professor Park Ilsu from the Department of Healthcare Management at Dong-Eui University received a commendation from the Director of the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency at the '9th Rare Disease Overcoming Day Commemoration Ceremony' held at the Nine Tree Premier Lokaus Hotel in Seoul on the 28th of last month, hosted by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency and the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Professor Park Ilsu has been recognized for his contributions to the production of reliable rare disease statistics and evidence for the improvement and development of policies and systems related to rare diseases. Since 2021, he has conducted research for the production of the 'Rare Disease Patient Statistics Yearbook,' the only nationally approved statistics on rare diseases in Korea.
Professor Park Ilsu expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful that my small efforts can contribute to various policies and systems for rare disease patients in Korea." He added, "I will continue to do my best in research for the improvement and development of healthcare-related policies and systems, and I will strive to ensure that these research processes and methods are reflected in students' major education."
