"Namyangju Travel Map, Drawn by Youth"... 'Youth Travel Crew' Journey Begins Joo Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju City, is conducting an orientation for about 50 participants of the Youth Travel Crew Support Project at the Pyeongnae-dong Youth Startup Center on the 7th. Provided by Namyangju City

This project is a new youth policy initiative where 2 to 5 young people in the area form a team (crew) to enjoy traveling in Namyangju, discover travel content firsthand, and propose ideas for youth and cultural policies.

From February 3 to February 21, a total of about 200 young people in 59 teams applied for this project, and through document screening, 16 teams with 51 members were finally selected as participants.

The first part of the event was a time for each participating crew to introduce their motivation for participation, travel plans, and exchange greetings, followed by the second part which included guidance on precautions and compliance, as well as a Q&A session.

Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, "This is a meaningful opportunity to discover and promote the hidden charms of Namyangju from the perspective of youth. I hope your travels will breathe new life into our tourism and cultural policies." He added, "I also hope this trip will be a valuable time for self-reflection, and I support your wonderful challenges."

Each participant will receive a travel support fund of 100,000 KRW per person in Namyangju Love Gift Certificates (local currency), and will carry out a mission to shoot travel videos and post them on their personal SNS to promote the city until October.

Later, in November, participants will gather at a performance sharing meeting to share their travel experiences and freely propose tourism policies conceived through their travels by crew. Three MVP teams selected at the performance sharing meeting will receive additional support funds.
