The Ulsan City Government announced that the completion ceremony for the North Ulsan Station transfer system improvement project will be held at 3 p.m. on March 10 in the area around North Ulsan Station.

The ceremony will be attended by Mayor Kim Du-gyeom, local members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, and about 100 local residents. The event will include a progress report, ribbon cutting, and commemorative photo session.

The North Ulsan Station transfer system improvement project involved the construction of entrance and exit roads between Autovalley-ro and North Ulsan Station, the installation of a pedestrian overpass, and the establishment of bus and taxi stops. Out of the total project cost of 8.7 billion KRW, 2.1 billion KRW came from the national government and 6.6 billion KRW from the city budget.

After completing the detailed design in 2020, the project began receiving national funding support for transfer system construction at the end of 2021. Full-scale construction started in December 2022, and the completion ceremony is being held after two years and three months of work.

The transfer facilities and the entrance and exit roads between North Ulsan Station and Autovalley-ro will be available for use starting March 11, the day after the completion ceremony.

Mayor Kim Du-gyeom said, "With the existing Donghae Line, the addition of ITX-Maum stops since the end of last year, and the planned extension of the Donghae Line metropolitan railway next year, the number of users at North Ulsan Station is expected to gradually increase. With this transfer system improvement project, we expect that Ulsan citizens will be able to conveniently use a variety of public transportation options to access North Ulsan Station."
