Four Departments Including Future Growth Strategy Division Selected as Best
Mayor Lee: "We Will Implement Efficient City Administration Reflecting Evaluation Results"
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 9th the results of the '2024 Performance Management (BSC) Self-Evaluation Operation' and selected four departments with outstanding performance as the best departments.
Performance management was operated by the city to realize the organizational vision and achieve strategic goals of the 8th elected administration. The evaluation was conducted by dividing all 161 departments into four groups: ▲Headquarters ▲Directly Affiliated Agencies and Business Offices ▲District Offices ▲Eup, Myeon, and Dong (township-level divisions).
The evaluation criteria included ▲749 performance indicators ▲7 city-wide common indicators ▲5 common indicators for Eup, Myeon, and Dong, assessing goal achievement and indicator characteristics through quantitative and qualitative evaluations. Last year's comprehensive performance management result was an average score of 93.8 points, which is 1.4 points higher than the previous year.
Specifically, the evaluation result for the 749 department indicators averaged 91.9 points, an increase of 3.3 points compared to the previous year. The achievement rate of indicators was 99.6%, up 0.5 percentage points from the previous year, indicating that the majority of projects were carried out as planned. The average of common indicators also rose by 1.5 points compared to the previous year, showing an overall improvement in performance indicators.
Based on the calculated results, the top four departments selected were ▲Future Growth Strategy Division ▲Cheoin-gu Public Health Center Health Promotion Division ▲Suji-gu Industrial Environment Division ▲Jukjeon 1-dong.
Eight departments were selected as excellent departments: ▲Disability Welfare Division ▲Childcare Division ▲Cheoin-gu Public Health Center Health Policy Division ▲Suji-gu Public Health Center Health Promotion Division ▲Cheoin-gu Taxation Division 2 ▲Giheung-gu Social Welfare Division ▲Dongbaek 1-dong ▲Yeongdeok 1-dong.
Additionally, 14 departments were selected as encouraging departments: ▲Livelihood Economy Division ▲Semiconductor National Industrial Complex Division ▲Women and Family Division ▲Job Policy Division ▲Giheung-gu Health Promotion Division ▲Seobu Library ▲Suji-gu Health Administration Division ▲Suji-gu Construction and Road Division ▲Cheoin-gu Social Welfare Division ▲Giheung-gu Road Division ▲Bora-dong ▲Dongbaek 2-dong ▲Dongcheon-dong ▲Singal-dong.
Lee Sang-il, Mayor of Yongin City, stated, "This year as well, we will carry out major tasks as planned to realize the 'Future Yongin Renaissance Created Together' and establish efficient policies reflecting the evaluation results to improve the quality of life for citizens."
