Launched as Part of Seoul's Low Birthrate Crisis Agreement
Following Woori Card, Now Available at Seoul Branches
Shinhan Card announced on the 9th that it has launched the 'Shinhan Dadungi Happiness Card' credit and check cards in collaboration with the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Following Woori Card, which launched the card in 2007, Shinhan Card has also joined efforts to overcome the low birthrate crisis in Seoul.
Shinhan Card explained that the multi-child preferential card was launched last month as part of the low birthrate crisis resolution business agreement signed between Shinhan Financial Group and the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Shinhan Bank, Shinhan Life, and others are also promoting the launch of financial products related to multi-child families.
This card can be issued to any citizen residing in Seoul with two or more children (the youngest being 18 years old or younger). It features benefits that are useful in daily life centered around childcare, in addition to the existing benefits of the Shinhan Card Point Plan.
First, it offers discounts in sectors such as dining out, shopping, fashion, and books. When used at approximately 150 medium to large affiliated stores partnered with Shinhan Card’s ezMembers, a discount of up to 10% is provided regardless of the previous month's spending performance. There are no limits on the number of discounts or the discount amount.
It also provides benefits such as annual fee waivers and granting of premium customer status. Customers who hold this card and make at least one payment per year after issuance will have their annual fee waived for the following year. New Shinhan Card customers will receive a refund of the first-year annual fee.
Additionally, holders of the Dadungi Happiness Card are granted the 'Tops Club' Ace grade, a premium customer status system of Shinhan Card. Ace grade customers receive preferential benefits such as 2-3 months interest-free installments at all domestic affiliated stores and discount coupons for Shinhan Card premium services.
Furthermore, the card offers a 50% discount at Seoul city-operated public parking lots, free admission or discounted fees at about 32 Seoul-designated public facilities including Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, Seoul Grand Park, kids cafes, and museums.
Applications for the Shinhan Dadungi Happiness Card will be available starting from the 10th.
