Public Recruitment for Food Booth Operators at the 2025 Dongdaemun-gu Spring Flower Festival
Open to Local Food Service Operators and Resident Groups for Approximately 20 Food Booths
Dongdaemun-gu (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) is publicly recruiting individuals and groups to operate food booths at the ‘2025 Dongdaemun-gu Spring Flower Festival’ until March 13.
The recruitment scale is about 20 food booths, and the applicants must be food service operators with an address in Dongdaemun-gu or groups consisting of seven or more residents.
Detailed information such as application methods, required documents, and additional scoring criteria can be found on the Dongdaemun-gu website (Dongdaemun News - Notices).
Business owners and groups wishing to participate should complete the application form and necessary documents provided on the website and submit them via email to the Dongdaemun-gu Culture and Tourism Division by 6 p.m. on March 13.
A confirmation text message will be sent to applicants within two days after submission. If the message is not received, applicants can inquire by contacting the person in charge.
After the application deadline, the review committee will select participants (groups) based on ▲ suitability of booth operation ▲ originality of the menu ▲ appropriateness of pricing. Participation is restricted for groups aiming to propagate specific religious doctrines or promote particular products or businesses.
The selection results will be announced on March 18 on the district website, and final selected participants will also be notified via text message.
The participation fee (estimated around 300,000 KRW) and support items (one tent, tables, reusable containers, etc.) will be decided through further consultation. In line with the district’s policy aiming for eco-friendly carbon neutrality, food booth participants (groups) must operate according to pre-announced compliance guidelines such as using reusable containers.
The ‘2025 Dongdaemun-gu Spring Flower Festival’ will be held over two days from April 5 to 6 at Jangan 1 Waterfront Park and the Jangan Cherry Blossom Road area (from Gunja Bridge to Ihwa Bridge).
Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, “To ensure a festival without overcharging, we will disclose the sales menu and prices in advance,” and added, “We ask for the active interest and participation of local business owners and groups so that the 2025 Dongdaemun-gu Spring Flower Festival can be a diverse and abundant event.”
