Park Gang-su, the mayor of Mapo District, visited Haneulbit Church on the morning of March 7th, where the '1st Sangam-dong Visiting Very Small Filial Piety (孝) Concert' was held.
The concert, hosted by the Sangam-dong Community Center, is part of Mapo District's 'One Neighborhood, One Specialized Project' and was organized as a 'Very Small Concert' project. It was designed to allow residents to enjoy cultural activities in various local venues without having to visit a performance hall directly.
About 80 people, including elderly participants of the Filial Piety Meal program and local residents, gathered to enjoy the performance. The concert opened spectacularly with folk songs and dance performances by the Seoul Sori Preservation Society.
Following this, the Singihan Volunteer Group played popular songs and trot music using saxophone and guitar, greatly uplifting the spirits of the elderly attendees.
Park Gang-su, mayor of Mapo District, stated, “We will do our best to create an environment filled with music and laughter throughout Mapo District so that residents can feel ‘happy to live in Mapo.’”
