Gimpo City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Byung-su) announced on the 7th that on the 6th, to mark the start of the school term, more than 20 people including the Clean City Division's Advertising Guidance Team of Gimpo City and members of the Gyeonggi Outdoor Advertising Association Gimpo Branch conducted a comprehensive cleanup and campaign against illegal advertisements around schools to create a clean and safe educational environment.

This campaign took place near Pungmu Elementary School and Yangdo Middle School in Pungmu-dong at the start of the school term, focusing on the removal of illegal banners and signboards that threaten students' pedestrian safety.
In particular, hazardous factors around schools were inspected, and warning notices were attached mainly to signboards to strengthen the cleanup efforts. Additionally, leaflets explaining the outdoor advertising permit and reporting procedures were distributed to store owners and citizens to promote the establishment of a proper advertising culture.
At the event, Heo Hyung-seok, president of the Gyeonggi Outdoor Advertising Association Gimpo Branch, expressed gratitude to the members who participated in the illegal advertisement cleanup activities and stated, “We will continue to strive for the establishment of a proper outdoor advertising culture.”
A representative from the Clean City Division of Gimpo City said, “We will continue to clean up harmful advertisements and illegal advertisements that obstruct pedestrian traffic around schools to provide a safe educational environment for students and create a clean and orderly urban environment,” and requested the cooperation of citizens.
