Dongguk University announced on the 7th that actress Park Min-young donated 50 million KRW to the 'Department of Theater Scholarship Fund and Dongguk Founding Scholarship Fund' for the development of her alma mater.

On the same day, Park Min-young attended the donation ceremony held at the main building of Dongguk University's Seoul campus and said, "Please use the donation so that juniors can focus on their studies without worrying about tuition fees." She also stated, "It is an honor if I can be even a small help to the dreams of juniors," adding, "I have always been proud to be an alumna of Dongguk University while working as an actress. I will continue to do my best to help whenever the school needs me."


Park Min-young enrolled in the Department of Theater at Dongguk University in 2004. She also served as a promotional ambassador for Dongguk University's 110th anniversary in 2016. This donation is known to be made with the intention of supporting her juniors at Dongguk University to pursue their dreams in a better environment.


Park Min-young's donation will be used for the College of Arts Department of Theater Scholarship and the Dongguk Founding Scholarship Fund. Meanwhile, Park Min-young has continued her steady donation activities, including donating 100 million KRW to the Asan Medical Center Cancer Center in Seoul, donating 100 million KRW to the Disaster Relief Association for wildfire victims in 2022, donating all proceeds from the 2019 season greeting sales to the animal protection organization KARA, and participating in UNICEF birthday donation campaigns.
