Polaris Office announced on the 7th that it has signed an official sponsorship contract with South Korean mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Yoo Joo-sang (Warp Corporation). Through this contract, Yoo Joo-sang will take on the challenge of the global stage alongside Polaris Office as he enters the UFC.
Under this agreement, Yoo Joo-sang will wear apparel featuring the Polaris Office logo during his future media appearances supported by this sponsorship.
After transitioning from a professional boxer to an MMA fighter, Yoo Joo-sang won the featherweight championship titles in South Korea's MMA organization AFC (Angels Fighting Championship) and Japan's MMA organization HEAT. He is a notable athlete boasting an undefeated record of 8 wins and an impressive appearance.
Recently, he signed an exclusive contract with Warp Corporation, a sports management and intellectual property (IP)-based marketing specialist company, and is set to debut directly in the UFC, the world's largest MMA organization, leveraging his two consecutive wins at the ZFN MMA event hosted by MMA legend "Korean Zombie" Jung Chan-sung. Notably, he attracted attention as a fighter personally selected by UFC President Dana White via remote appearance.
Polaris Office stated that they decided to sponsor Yoo Joo-sang because his "undefeated record of 8 wins" and "UFC challenge" align with the company's image as an artificial intelligence (AI) software firm.
Ji Jun-kyung, CEO of Polaris Office, said, "Yoo Joo-sang, who is advancing to the UFC, the world's top stage, with an undefeated streak, matches the image of 'perfection,' 'innovation,' and 'global challenge' that our company pursues. As Polaris Office, which is showcasing innovation through AI and has 20 million subscribers in North and Central America, we will continue new challenges of reaching the world's top stage together with the athlete and the company."
Yoo Joo-sang said, "I am pleased to receive sponsorship from Polaris Office, which has 134 million global subscribers. I will strive to show a stronger performance in the UFC and work with Polaris Office to enhance global recognition."
Meanwhile, Polaris Office is the first domestic native office software company to receive the AI Innovation Award at 'CES 2025,' the world's largest ICT convergence exhibition. Building on this, the company plans to expand paid subscribers in North and Central America, the world's largest market, to strengthen the global competitiveness of its app 'Polaris Office AI.'
