Dream Start aims to support the growth and development of children and ensure equal starting opportunities. It plans to operate a total of 16 programs across three main areas: physical health, emotional and behavioral development, and cognitive and language development.

The Dream Start program targets 71 children from 51 households in vulnerable groups in Yeongyang County, with a budget of approximately 210 million KRW allocated for this year's programs. Each child is assigned an integrated case manager, who provides continuous case management through home visits and offers support tailored to each child's diverse needs, from initial contact to post-completion monitoring.

In the first half of the year, Dream Start is supporting healthy growth for children and their families through various programs, including family counseling, play therapy, speech therapy, birthday cake support projects for emotional and behavioral development, as well as learning material support and arts and physical education academy connections for cognitive and language development. In the second half of the year, the program plans to operate additional initiatives such as parent and nutrition education, family healing camps to strengthen family bonds, in-home disinfection services, child health checkups, and nutritional supplement support for physical and health development.

These programs focus on restoring family relationships and building a safety net so that children can grow up healthier and more securely within their homes.

Additionally, starting this year, Yeongyang County Dream Start plans to run a new integrated program where Dream Start children and general children participate together. By joining these programs, children can naturally interact, build bonds, and strengthen cooperation with their peers, further enhancing the effectiveness of the Dream Start initiative.

County Governor Oh Dochang said, "We are discovering and providing various programs so that all children in Yeongyang County can grow up bright and healthy with dreams and hope," adding, "We will actively support efforts to make Yeongyang a happy place for children."
