Gokseong County to Provide 200,000 Won in Livelihood Support Funds per Resident Gokseong County Office building exterior.

Gokseong County in Jeonnam Province (Governor Cho Sangrae) announced on the 7th that it will provide the Min Saeng Hwal Ryeok Support Fund to revitalize the stagnant local economy and help stabilize the lives of residents.

The Min Saeng Hwal Ryeok Support Fund will be distributed in the form of Gokseong Simcheong Gift Certificates, the local currency, to all residents of Gokseong (including marriage immigrants and permanent residents) who have their resident registration address in Gokseong as of 7 p.m. on the 6th. Each person will receive 200,000 won.

These gift certificates can be freely used at affiliated merchants within Gokseong County, and the recommended usage period is until August 31.

The application and distribution will take place in two phases. The first phase will be from the 17th to the 21st, when staff from the township and town offices will visit villages to distribute the funds. Residents who do not receive the support in the first phase can visit their local township or town office from the 24th to April 18th to apply and receive the funds immediately.

The head of household or household members can apply. The head of household can apply for all members at once, while household members can only apply for themselves. If a household member wishes to receive the payment for the entire household, they must submit a letter of proxy from the head of household. In addition, applicants must bring their ID when applying.

The county expects that the distribution of the Min Saeng Hwal Ryeok Support Fund will have a positive impact on the local economic cycle by boosting residents' consumption, and will provide significant help to small business owners experiencing difficulties.

Governor Cho Sangrae stated, "We will ensure that the support procedures are carried out quickly and accurately so that the support fund can greatly benefit the lives of our residents," and added, "We expect that the distribution of this Min Saeng Hwal Ryeok Support Fund will help stabilize the lives of residents facing economic hardship and revitalize local consumption."
