Incheon Yeonsu-gu, District Mayor's 103 Pledge Evaluations Conducted by 'Resident Jury Panel'

Yeonsu-gu, Incheon announced on the 7th that it will operate a resident jury panel to inspect and evaluate the fulfillment of the 8th term of the elected mayor's campaign promises.

The resident jury system is a system where district residents directly inspect and evaluate the status of campaign promise fulfillment and seek alternatives. Discussions on 103 campaign promise projects of the 8th term will be held over about a month.

The district recruited 102 applicants aged 18 and over from Yeonsu-gu through an automatic response system (ARS) in cooperation with the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, an evaluation agency for campaign promises, and selected 35 final members through telephone interviews considering gender, age, and region.

The district held the first meeting of the resident jury panel the day before, awarding appointment certificates to the jurors, followed by preliminary education by the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters. Then, at the second meeting on the 20th, there will be adjustments and deliberations on campaign projects by subcommittees. At the third meeting on the 3rd of next month, the entire resident jury panel will conduct voting and evaluation based on the discussion results of each subcommittee.

Through a total of three meetings, the resident jury panel will propose adjustments and improvement plans for the campaign promises, and the final deliberation will be reflected in the operation of the campaign promises. The evaluation recommendations of the resident jury panel will be disclosed on the Yeonsu-gu Office website after final review by the responsible department.
