Goryeong County (Governor Namcheol Lee) will accept applications for school uniform purchase support for new middle and high school students and first-year transfer students from the 10th to the 21st in order to realize universal educational welfare and reduce the financial burden on parents.
Eligible applicants are new middle and high school students and first-year transfer students who wear school uniforms in the region as of March 10 (for transfer students, as of the application date), as well as new middle and high school students and first-year transfer students who wear school uniforms in other regions but have resident registration in Goryeong County. The support amount is 300,000 KRW per person and is provided once upon admission to middle or high school.
Applicants can be either the student or their guardian. New students at local middle and high schools can apply through their current school, while first-year transfer students at local schools and new or first-year transfer students at schools in other regions can apply at the township or town office of their resident registration address.
Namcheol Lee, Governor of Goryeong County, said, "Through the support for school uniform purchases, we aim to guarantee equal educational opportunities and strengthen the public nature of education. We will continue to improve educational conditions so that students, who are the future of Goryeong, can study to their fullest potential."
