Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 7th that the tourist attraction Homyeong Lake will be fully opened from the 17th. Accordingly, bus number 30-4, which operates from Sangcheon Station to the summit of Homyeong Lake, will resume normal operation from the same day.

Bus number 30-4 had been operating only up to the first parking lot of Homyeong Lake since November 27 of last year due to winter closure. Originally scheduled to open on the 10th, the opening of Homyeong Lake was postponed by one week due to the installation of rockfall prevention nets following recent rockfall incidents on the road.

The bus timetable to the summit of Homyeong Lake will also change starting March 17, and detailed information can be found on the Gapyeong-gun website. Additionally, private vehicle access to the summit is restricted, so visitors must get off at the first parking lot and proceed on foot or by bus.

A Gapyeong-gun official stated, “Considering the safety and convenience of the continuously increasing number of tourists, we are reviewing plans to operate six additional 30-4 bus runs on weekends during the peak seasons of April to May and September to October, increasing from the current 10 runs per day.” He added, “Using the bus from Sangcheon Station, it takes about 20 minutes to reach the summit of Homyeong Lake, so an increase in tourists is expected.”
