The Jeonnam branch of NongHyup held the '2025 Jeonnam-Jeju Agricultural Machinery Bank Leading NongHyup Council Regular General Meeting' on the 4th floor conference room of the Jeonnam branch on the 6th, with over 50 cooperative presidents from the council in attendance.
During the general meeting, agenda items such as the ▲2024 business settlement report and ▲2025 business plan were approved. In addition, measures to revitalize the agricultural machinery bank project to expand agricultural work agency services were discussed.
As of 2024, the agricultural machinery bank project in the Jeonnam and Jeju regions leads NongHyup's agricultural machinery bank operation, with 569,000 hectares of agricultural work agency area (40% of the national total of 1,448,000 hectares) and 138,000 hectares of pest control work area (35% of the national total of 393,000 hectares).
Park Hyungyu, chairman of the council (president of Yeongam Gunseo NongHyup), emphasized, "The agricultural machinery bank project should now go beyond comprehensive agricultural work agency services and expand 'direct operation projects' where NongHyup purchases agricultural machinery and directly carries out agricultural work."
Lee Kwangil, head of Jeonnam NongHyup, stated, "The agricultural machinery bank project of NongHyup is essential to overcoming the crisis of rural aging," and requested, "Please take the lead in increasing the actual benefits for farmers by strengthening farming support, such as expanding the area for direct operation and pest control work agency, centered on the leading NongHyup branches of the agricultural machinery bank."
