Gwangju Employers Federation Launches "Lifetime Career Program" for Career Planning in the Age of 100-Year Lifespans

The Gwangju Employers Federation (Chairman Yang Jinseok, Chairman of Howon Co., Ltd. and Happiness CC) announced on the 7th that the Middle-aged Tomorrow Center, which it operates, will officially begin its business operations starting with the "1st Lifetime Career Design Program."

The "Lifetime Career Design Program" is a specialized program unique to the Middle-aged Tomorrow Center that helps participants design career paths focused on work in preparation for the era of 100-year lifespans. Last year, 1,400 people completed the program. This year, the center aims for 1,500 graduates and plans to operate the program more than 40 times by December.

The training is conducted for 4 hours per day for job seekers and 6 hours per day for employed participants. Those receiving unemployment benefits can have this training recognized as a job-seeking activity upon completion.

In addition, the center will continue to offer various programs such as the "Restart Program," an advanced course to improve job-seeking skills for middle-aged participants, the "Career Transition School Program" for those preparing for retirement, humanities special lectures for self-development, and youth cultural spaces. Anyone aged 40 or older can participate.

Yang Jinseok, Chairman of the Gwangju Employers Federation, said, "By expanding reemployment opportunities for the middle-aged, we will increase social value through continuous income generation and support for economic independence."
