Chief Architect Kim Seongwoo and Public Architect Kim Donghee Appointed for Boryeong City Public Projects
Boryeong City in South Chungcheong Province is appointing a chief architect and public architects and will begin various public architectural projects in earnest to enhance the city's dignity and improve the quality of public architecture.
Boryeong City announced on the 7th that architect Kim Seongwoo has been appointed as chief architect, and architect Kim Donghee as public architect.
They are expected to serve as advisors in various fields such as planning, design, and construction of public architecture in Boryeong City.
Architect Kim Seongwoo is recognized for his creative and experimental approach and has an architectural philosophy that harmoniously reflects both the historical and modern aspects of the city. His major works include ‘YANGLIM AVENUE’, ‘WONSEOK’, and ‘Boryeong Gaonnuri House’.
Architect Kim Donghee emphasizes eco-friendly design and spatial storytelling in his architectural philosophy, and is recognized for works that consider practicality and sustainability, such as ‘Muju Dada Pension’ and ‘Juhyangjae’.
The city plans to enhance the design and functionality of public buildings and provide citizens with a more pleasant urban environment.
This year, the city will also promote the construction of the third columbarium at Moran Park and the detailed design of the Boryeong Knowledge Industry Center, and plans to create the Youth Center and Boryeong Culture Theme Park as creative spaces.
Mayor Kim Dongil stated, “We expect the creative insight and experience of these two architects to make Boryeong’s urban landscape even more beautiful,” adding, “Boryeong’s buildings will go beyond simple facilities to become cultural landmarks, contributing to the revitalization of tourism.”
