Preventing Safety Accidents During Pesticide Application
Governor Kim Jusu Expresses Commitment to Ongoing Safety Support
Uiseong County in North Gyeongsang Province announced on the 6th that it will provide 1,078 sets of agricultural safety equipment free of charge to prevent safety accidents that may occur during farming activities.
The agricultural safety equipment provided consists of a set including protective suits, safety goggles, and masks. These are highly chemical-resistant products that block harmful chemicals in pesticides and have been certified as excellent products by accredited testing and research institutions. Since pesticide application work exposes farmers directly to pesticides, wearing agricultural safety equipment is essential.
Uiseong County expects that this support will protect the health of farmers and prevent safety accidents related to pesticide use.
In particular, this support, which prioritizes the safety of farmers, is expected to greatly enhance the safety of the farming environment.
Kim Jusu, the governor of Uiseong County, stated, "We will continue to provide various safety support measures to protect farmers from pesticide poisoning and various safety accidents during farming activities," and added, "We will do our best to create a safe farming environment in the future."
