First 'Love Blood Donation' Campaign of the Year Held

POSCO Pohang Steelworks held a 'Love Blood Donation' event for POSCO and its employees on the 5th and 6th of last month.

This event was organized to address the blood supply shortage caused by low birth rates and aging population, and to foster a healthy blood donation culture.

Pohang Steelworks increased accessibility by stationing blood donation buses throughout the steelworks, including POSCO headquarters, Chung-Ang University cafeteria, and the production control center, allowing many employees to participate.

Pohang Steelworks plans to hold the 'Love Blood Donation' event three times in total?in March, June, and September?adding one more session compared to the previous year.

Employees who visited the blood donation buses participated after receiving a thorough health checkup before donating blood, and those unable to donate contributed by donating their blood donation certificates to support the blood supply.

An employee at Pohang Steelworks who participated in the blood donation said, “I am honored to be able to do something meaningful that saves lives through a small act. I want to continue participating in the Love Blood Donation campaign to help create a warm society.”
