Jung Jong-deuk, the head of the headquarters, held a meeting with the CEO and safety officers of Shinhan Heavy Industries to share the results of the company's own cause analysis of recent serious accidents, the current status of safety management measures, key policies and issues for establishing a self-discipline prevention system, and discussed measures to strengthen the execution of safety and health activities on site.
Jung Jong-deuk, head of the Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, stated, “The shipbuilding industry, a core industry in the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) region, has a high subcontracting rate, and the number of foreign and elderly workers is also increasing, so it is necessary to prepare safety management measures meticulously.” He added, “The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency will strive at the forefront of industrial accident prevention to create a safe workplace without fatal accidents by establishing an autonomous safety and health management system in the shipbuilding industry.”
