Yangju City Holds "Lunchbox Meeting" with Yangju Federation of Arts and Culture
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 6th that it held a communication forum called the "Lunchbox Meeting" for the development of local culture and arts at the Yangju Comprehensive Tourism Information Center meeting room, together with the Yangju Federation of Arts and Culture (President Seo Soon-o).

This meeting was organized to discuss measures to revitalize culture and arts in the area and to strengthen cooperation with local artists. Attendees included Mayor Kang Su-hyun, President Seo Soon-o, and heads of eight affiliated association branches.
The event began with an opening, followed by presentations of this year’s major project plans from the Yangju Federation of Arts and Culture and its eight affiliated associations. Enthusiastic discussions centered on various agendas such as ▲ cultural and artistic support policies ▲ support measures for local artists’ creative activities ▲ expansion of cultural and artistic infrastructure.
In particular, during the free discussion held while sharing lunchboxes, candid exchanges took place, including sharing opinions on branch operations, development directions, and members’ suggestions and difficulties.
On this day, representatives of the Yangju Federation of Arts and Culture emphasized the need to expand programs to create a stable creative environment and to enable citizens to enjoy culture and arts more easily, requesting continuous cooperation and support.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun responded, “The development of culture and arts is the path to enhancing the dignity of the local community,” adding, “We will prepare effective support policies based on close communication with artists.”
President Seo Soon-o said, “This meeting was a meaningful opportunity to directly convey the voices of artists,” and added, “We will continue ongoing consultations to revitalize local arts.”
Meanwhile, the city plans to not only supplement cultural and artistic policies based on the opinions discussed at this meeting but also to further strengthen the cooperation system with local artists.
