Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea (Chairman: Noh Dongil, hereinafter referred to as Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae) announced on the 6th that KEPCO KPS has completed a donation of 300 million KRW as a "Sharing Honor Company" and has joined as a Silver Member.
The Silver Member certification plaque and signboard presentation ceremony was attended by Noh Dongil, Chairman of Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae, Kim Hongyeon, President of KEPCO KPS, and staff members from both organizations.
KEPCO KPS has been contributing to social responsibility activities by making donations to Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae since 2007. To date, the company has donated a total of approximately 1.362 billion KRW in both cash and goods.
Last year, by donating more than 300 million KRW, KEPCO KPS continued its steady social contribution for neighbors in need within Jeonnam Province and has now joined as the first fully paid Silver Member of the Sharing Honor Company in Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae this year.
Kim Hongyeon, President of KEPCO KPS, said, "We will continue our sharing activities to fulfill our corporate social responsibility and bring hope to neighbors in need in the local community," adding, "We will actively participate in social contribution activities together with Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae in the future as well."
Noh Dongil, Chairman of Jeonnam Sarangui-Yeolmae, said, "We deeply appreciate KEPCO KPS's ongoing commitment to sharing," and added, "We hope this positive influence will spread so that more companies and individuals can participate in sharing."
