At 1:01 PM on the 6th, a taxi crashed into a residential wall on a road in Jinhari, Seosaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun, Ulsan, resulting in the deaths of three people, including the taxi driver and passengers, and injuring two other passengers.
It was raining at the time of the accident, which occurred at a point where the downhill road curves to the right. The taxi was carrying five people in total? the driver and four passengers (two men and three women), all reportedly in their 70s. All were transported to the hospital immediately after the accident, but three people?the taxi driver, one male passenger, and one female passenger?died. Among the remaining two female passengers, one is in cardiac arrest and the other is seriously injured. It has been confirmed that there were no other injuries besides those to the driver and passengers in this single-vehicle taxi accident.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident based on the road layout and the light rain at the time.
