Requesting Budget Support for Local Pending Issues
Muan County, South Jeolla Province announced on the 6th that on the previous day, Deputy County Governor Jung Hyungu and relevant officials visited the National Assembly to request the securing and support of national funds for major pending projects.
On that day, Deputy Governor Jung met with National Assembly Members Seo Samseok and Moon Geumjoo to explain key county issues and actively request support, including: ▲ Establishment of the Muan Public Forest Leisure Sports Center in the southwest region to promote daily sports (total project cost: 35 billion KRW) ▲ Installation of an integrated biogas facility in Muan County for stable processing of local waste resources (total project cost: 58.7 billion KRW) ▲ Construction of an agricultural product storage base in the Jeonnam region to control the supply of major vegetables (total project cost: 50 billion KRW).

National Assembly Member Seo Samseok stated, "I will do my best to secure national funds and cooperate with relevant agencies to support the implementation of projects in Muan County."
Deputy County Governor Jung Hyungu said, "We will continue to actively consult with the National Assembly and related ministries to resolve local issues and secure national funding."
Meanwhile, Muan County held a comprehensive briefing session on requests for national and provincial funding for 2026 on the 18th of last month. In March, Deputy County Governor Jung Hyungu presided over departmental briefing sessions to strengthen the justification and logic for national and provincial funding and to supplement step-by-step strategies, making every effort to secure the budget.
