The signing ceremony was held with the attendance of 15 officials, including Moon Si-yeon, President of Sookmyung Women's University, Lee Young-jong, President of Shinhan Life, and Woo Seok-moon, CEO of Shinhan Life Care.
Amid growing demands to strengthen expertise in the senior sector due to the rapid transition to a super-aged society, both institutions agreed to establish a close cooperation system to nurture future senior care talents through systematic education and practical experience.
Accordingly, Shinhan Life Care and Sookmyung Women's University plan to collaborate on △ developing education programs for senior business and care professionals △ R&D (Research and Development) linked to industrial sites △ promoting joint industry-academia projects.
As the first implementation case, Shinhan Life Care will participate in the development of the curriculum and deliver a special lecture on "Senior Market Analysis and Risk Management" for the "1st Silver Housing Business Executive Expert Course" to be opened at Sookmyung Women's University in May.
Moon Si-yeon, President of Sookmyung Women's University, said, "With the elderly population already exceeding 10 million, the senior business is a field that neither universities nor our society can overlook," adding, "This industry-academia cooperation agreement will contribute not only to the growth of both Sookmyung Women's University and Shinhan Life Care but also to the development of the local community and related industries."
