According to Uijeongbu City on the 6th, the event was held with about 200 sanitation workers and related personnel attending, featuring an awards ceremony for exemplary sanitation workers and a meeting to share difficulties experienced on site.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun expressed his gratitude to the sanitation workers who dedicate themselves to maintaining urban cleanliness despite harsh conditions such as cold waves, heavy snow, and fine dust.

He also inspected the installation status of safety equipment on cleaning vehicles and listened to necessary matters for improving on-site safety and working conditions.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I deeply empathize with the hard work of sanitation workers who strive from early dawn to maintain a clean urban environment,” adding, “We will actively reflect the voices from the field and continuously work to improve working conditions.”
