On the 6th, Pukyong National University (President Bae Sang-hoon) announced that three professors were selected for the 2025 New Researcher Infrastructure Support Project by the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The New Researcher Infrastructure Support Project is designed to help early-stage researchers focus on challenging research from the beginning by supporting the early establishment of core infrastructure such as laboratories.
At Pukyong National University, three professors were selected for this project: Kim Seon-gyu (Department of Energy Chemical Materials Engineering), Jeong Young (Department of Mechanical Engineering), and Eom Woo-ram (Department of Biotechnology).
Professor Kim Seon-gyu was selected for the project titled "Establishment of an Infrared Spectrometer Fusion Platform for Analyzing Chemical Reaction Mechanisms," Professor Jeong Young for "Establishment of a 3D-DIC Stereo Microscope System for Local Strain Analysis of 3D Composite Materials," and Professor Eom Woo-ram for "Establishment of an Automated Exosome Separation System for Developing Exosome-Based Disease Customized Gene Therapy Platform Technology."
With this selection, they plan to carry out advanced research infrastructure projects supported by research funds ranging from 100 million to 300 million KRW for one year starting in March.
