Uijeongbu-si Increases 2025 First Supplementary Budget by 98.4 Billion Won

Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 6th that it has prepared the '2025 First Supplementary Budget Proposal' amounting to 1.5818 trillion KRW and submitted it to the city council.

This supplementary budget proposal increased by 98.4 billion KRW (6.6%) compared to this year's original budget of 1.4834 trillion KRW. The general account is 1.3801 trillion KRW, and the special account is 201.7 billion KRW.

The city allocated funds mainly for ongoing projects supported by national subsidies, including ▲56 billion KRW for the Yonghyeon Industrial Complex Multipurpose Cultural Center Construction Project, ▲5.5 billion KRW for the National Road No. 39 Songchu-gil Expansion Project, and ▲2.8 billion KRW for the Junggeumo Local Road Development Project.

Additionally, to stabilize livelihoods and revitalize the local economy, the budget includes ▲an additional 200 million KRW contribution to the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, ▲2.2 billion KRW to support the metropolitan bus quasi-public operation project for stable public transportation, ▲170 million KRW for the Anyone Care Project to protect vulnerable groups, and ▲80 million KRW for operating a lifelong learning city for the disabled.

This supplementary budget will be finalized on the 21st after deliberation at the 'Uijeongbu City Council 335th Extraordinary Session' starting on the 10th.

An official from Uijeongbu City stated, “We prioritized essential budgets to protect vulnerable groups and strengthen urban functions despite limited financial conditions. Once the budget is finalized, we will do our best to ensure stable livelihoods and the smooth progress of major projects through prompt execution.”
