Ioniq 5N Surpasses Volkswagen ID.4 in German Automotive Media Review

Highly Rated for Body, Powertrain, and Eco-Friendliness

Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 6th that the Ioniq 5N line was recognized for its excellent product competitiveness in an electric vehicle comparison evaluation conducted by the leading German automotive media 'Auto Bild.'

In a recent issue, Auto Bild evaluated the Ioniq 5N line and the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX across seven categories: body, convenience, powertrain, driving performance, connectivity, eco-friendliness, and economy.

The Ioniq 5N line scored high in four categories?body, powertrain, eco-friendliness, and economy?achieving a total score of 584 points, surpassing the ID.4 GTX's 580 points.

The Ioniq 5N line demonstrated the advantage of spacious interior space completed with a long wheelbase based on the dedicated electric vehicle platform 'E-GMP.'

Additionally, in the powertrain category, it recorded high scores in charging and launch acceleration performance, while in the eco-friendliness category, it was rated higher than the ID.4 GTX for eco-friendly technology. In the economy category, it received better evaluations in residual value and warranty aspects.

The Ioniq 5 previously scored 577 points, 14 points higher than the ID.4, in the Auto Bild comparison evaluation when it was first released in 2021. In this year's evaluation targeting the Ioniq 5 product improvement model released last year, it once again surpassed the ID.4, reaffirming Hyundai Motor Company's product competitiveness as its first dedicated electric vehicle.
