Pilot Project Launched to Improve Awareness of Illegal Filming
Daejeon Daedeok-gu announced on the 6th that it will implement a "Pilot Project for Improving Awareness of Illegal Filming" to prevent illegal filming crimes and ensure the safety of residents.
The district plans to permanently provide illegal filming detection cards and instruction leaflets on how to use them in public restrooms and multi-use facilities within the area.
The illegal filming detection card is a product that allows users to detect surrounding digital devices using the rear camera lens of a smartphone.
The district expects that this project will actively contribute to preventing digital sex crimes such as illegal filming in public places used by many people.
Based on the pilot project, the district plans to expand the provision of illegal filming detection cards to more public and private facilities in the future.
Choi Chungyu, head of the district office, said, "We plan to continuously provide and inspect illegal filming detection cards to protect residents from illegal filming," and added, "We will do our best to take the lead in eradicating illegal filming and digital sex crimes and provide a safer environment for residents."
