At her first press briefing since taking office on the 6th in Yeouido, President Park said, "Femtech is a very promising field that improves women's quality of life, contributes to solving the low birthrate problem, and has a large market size." However, she judged that the domestic femtech industry still has very low awareness and lacks related support. Therefore, she expressed her ambition, saying, "The association will take the lead in nurturing women-led companies that pioneer the femtech industry."
Marking two months since her inauguration, President Park also explained five key tasks for the future operation of the association. The five key tasks are ▲strengthening the representation of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association ▲supporting women entrepreneurs' global expansion ▲fostering women-specialized technology-based industries ▲organizing support systems for women entrepreneurs' development projects ▲and promoting communication and harmony among women entrepreneurs.
Regarding support for women entrepreneurs' global expansion, President Park stressed, "Having directly entered overseas markets, I realized that going abroad as early as possible is the path to greater success," emphasizing the importance of women entrepreneurs' overseas expansion and promising to expand related support.
President Park also said, “Having lived as a woman entrepreneur for the past 35 years, I realized that business can never grow alone,” and “The association will serve as a focal point for women entrepreneurs to unite their strengths, overcome difficult times, and grow together.”
