About 80 game developers and industry officials from the Busan region attended the briefing.

Through the briefing, the Promotion Agency announced detailed plans for the 2025 Busan game industry development support projects, including ▲discovering and incubating indie developers ▲supporting production to strengthen content competitiveness ▲supporting commercialization to pioneer global markets ▲supporting recruitment of professional personnel.

In particular, this year, a new 'Regional Specialized Content Development Support Project' was introduced, along with the existing 'Game Content Development and Platform Converting Support Project' that supports platform conversion for already released game content, and the 'Game Development Artificial Intelligence Transformation (AX) Support Project' that supports the introduction of services applying AI models, aiming to create new growth engines for game companies.

Additionally, through the 'BGC Prospective Developer Jump-up Support,' growth of amateur developers is encouraged, and financial support is provided to early-stage startups through the 'Game and Content Fund Operation.' Customized financial support for each growth stage of game companies has been strengthened, such as supporting sales commissions to companies generating revenue through the 'Game Developer Incentive Support.'

Furthermore, existing support projects have been comprehensively reorganized and supplemented to improve efficiency and prepare more diverse support measures, expanding the scope to ensure companies are not excluded from support.

Kim Tae-yeol, Director of the Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, said, “We will systematically support companies that have laid the foundation through the Busan Global Game Center to continue their success stories in the global market,” and added, “We will actively help Busan establish itself as a hub for producing globally competitive small and medium-sized game companies.”
